Mad Idea update

My beaded CdC in Nov

And this afternoon (Jan 31)
It was getting very difficult to hold so I started a new piece and will join the two together when that one gets difficult

January 2012 - finish and a new start

Great to be back; missed November and December due to holiday cheer :-) I have a sort of finish: As I was stitching Pizzazz I moved from the middle to completing the lower left hand corner, and the more I looked at it the more I thought how cool it would look if I left out two opposing corners and turned it 90 degrees. Well, I absolutely love it. I still have not been able to fully capture the deep jewel tones of my floss choice; my photography is easily my least favorite part about sharing my stitching. Don't let my photos put you off; definitely give this color a try.

My Pizzazz finish, 2 over 2 on 28 ct Gravestone by Stitches and Spice using HDF Plumage:

And here's my start on Peregrinations. This is on 32 ct Heather from PTP, 2 over 2 using almost all of the recommended Carrie's fibers. I changed out the light pink for GAST Clover and the light yellow for WDW Buttercup...neither of which are yet stitched, but hopefully you will see them next month :-) That's all for now, folks - see you in February!

Back with a new start..

I fell off the Ink Circles SAL wagon a while ago working on another SAL (CCN Cottages of the Month) but I'm back! Made a small start on Love Letters Art Nouveau. I'm a huge Art Nouveau fan and got this as soon as it came out at my LNS.

I'm stitching this on 28ct Star Sapphire Jobelan 2 over 2 with the called for fibers.

A New Year & A New Start

Hi all and Happy New Year.

Good luck to those who are undertaking the Crazy January challenge, or the 'Ultimate' version of the same. I have decided to start this year with many 'new starts', but have chosen a more modest number in the hope I will be able to complete them all this year (time will tell...).

Quaker Floral Puzzle
Vikki Clayton's (HDF) silk conversion on
40ct Newcastle linen by Stitches & Spice 'Camo Fudge'

January 2012 - New Start(I only wish I had discovered 40 count fabby when my eyes where about 5 years younger :))

Look forward to seeing everyones updates, happy stitching until next time

Bonnie's January Update

I haven't worked on Bramble this month, but I do have a new start to show you.
I am doing a SAL with some friends in my local stitching group.  We are doing the seasonal mandala's.

I decided to give 40ct linen a try and am doing this on one piece of fabric.  I am using the called for DMC with one strant over 2.

Here is my progress to date.

A few new starts

Hi everyone! I'm Adrienne over at Tryllacraft and I want to say thank you for letting me join such a great blog!

I have recently started two new Ink Circles designs as part of my 2012 Crazy January Challenge.

Metamorphasis
32 ct Heritage lugana, 2 over 2
recommended GAST threads

Cirque des Carreaux
25 ct Night Fall lugana (Sassy's Fabbys), over 1
Carrie's Creations - Epiphany (silk)

While I have been in love with Ink Circles designs since I first laid eyes on them, the only one I've ever stitched was the Thread & Eye Mandala created especially for a SAL my LNS (Thread & Eye) held last year. (I actually left out the black outline because I didn't want to overwhelm the colours I'd chosen.)

25 ct antique white lugana

Happy New Year

I am so pleased that you all are posting still and keeping up with the stitching.

Most of you know my stitching Mojo disappeared during 2011. Well I am glad to say it looks like it has returned!! So I am hoping to be joining you all this year.

Now I haven't forgotten about the small incentive I have on this blog, as soon as I can I will sort this out. And let you all know who has won and what they have won. I pay for this myself so please bare with me on this!

I look forward to seeing all the wonderful posting this year!!
Welcome to the Newbies I look forward to seeing what you are stitching!!
