Lindsay's August progress

Kaleidoscope at the end of July

And at the end of August

August Finish and New Start

Hi all - lots to say here since I missed July. Sadly I could have posted for July but had camera problems. Luckily that was only the second month I missed so I have to stay on the ball for the rest of the year!

So here is my June progress on Pot Luck. I need to correct my previous post re: the thread color; this is actually Carrie's "Black Cherries." Also just as a refresher - this is 1 over 1 on 28 ct Irish Linen.
And here's my finish for August! It's not framed yet, as I plan to wait until I have several of the small designs done and then get them all framed in coordinating yet different frames and hang them together as a montage. The colors in the June picture are truer to life than the below; I am still getting the hang of digital photography.

Last but certainly not least here is my new start - this is Pizzazz on 28 ct Cashel "Gravestone" from Stitches and Spice, 2 over 2 using HDF Plumage. This floss is so beautiful; I wish everyone could see it IRL. And I don't know what base VC uses for her silks, but it is so far of all the ones I have tried my absolute favorite. It is so smooth, doesn't twist or kink - ab fab!

That's it for me...looking forward to seeing more of everyone's beautiful work in September!

Bonnie's August update

So here was my Cirque des Carreux the last time I posted, January 2011
CdCx January 31, 2011

Now my progess pic will not look the same but in a different way.  A few weeks ago, I realized that I had two different dye lots of Carrie's Creations.  I was very grateful that my LNS had the right dye lot and I only needed to rip out about 1/3 of what I had done.

The pretty threads all taken out :(

Hope everyone has a productive September!

Red Square - August progress

Hi again
Spring has come early to my neck of the woods and it's hard to keep up with the gardening [weeding really] and stitching too... but I have managed to finish a couple of colours on my red square :)

July

August

Thankfully when the new skein of red arrived, it was close enough that I didn't have to waste time frogging and 'blending' into the design - YEAY for Carries floss :)

Happy stitching until next time

Namaste - Aug progress 2

I was so happy to finish the first design that I dove into the second and got it done it two evenings.  It helps that my husband is away for work.  I don't have to be social or make a real dinner. :-D

Namaste - Aug progress

Finished the first design in Namaste and wanted to share.  It took me about 6 hours to do the purples.  Not sure about the black, which I did first, because the frogs visited several times as I was trying to watch TV and stitch at the same time.  I wonder if the other way might be easier, colours then black.  Have to think on that.

Namaste Update

Making progress. I find these so much fun to do.

I'm about halfway through the Heart Chakra now. I am so thoroughly enjoying these bright colors.

Hello all Ink Circle stitchers

I might even find my mojo for this !!!

See Tracy's site for more details http://www.inkcircles.com/

Now the real reason why I am posting No sorry I don't have any progresses myself.
But I am going to do a little competition for those of you who have already posted THIS YEAR, sorry no newbies, it is to show my appreciation for those of you who have continually posted. So here it is

In the month of September Post a progress pic ...that's it. Just post a progress pic in the month of September. The only rule is you have already posted at least once this year, if you are not sure then look in the side bar your name must be in one of the month's for this year!

Thank you all

Kaleidoscope update

Yes I know I said I'd be back yesterday with an update but I was tired last night and it slipped my mind :(
So in my quest to finish as many of my older PHD's as I can this year I've been working on a project every weekend until it's finished and next up is Kaleidoscope

So here it is when I picked it up mid month

And at the end of it

I'm hoping to finish it this month, keep your fingers crossed for me.
