Lindsay's January progress

I started CdC on Jan 1st and this is as far as I got before I had to move on to finishing a hated project

I've also made good progress on my beaded version but don't have a pic to share because I forgot to take one!

January's progress

January progress

Having a little trouble loading my images in the proper order! My initial start on Namaste from earlier this month is on the bottom, and on top is my progress for January. I am having a great time stitching this - I usually do BAPs that take me a couple of years, so it has been really refreshing to tackle something small where I can make immediate progress. Also, the colors are so beautiful - it is like stitching individual stained glass windows. I am a little less than pleased with my fabric coverage, though - I would use a higher count were I ever to stitch it again.

January progress

I haven't got a lot to show for this month, since I received the kit for Chatelaine's Greek Mandala for Christmas and it's still small enough to carry around. Soon it won't be though and I'll be back to carrying Bramble with me during the day :)

Here's December:

28th December 2010

and here's as of mid-January (I haven't made any progress since this was taken):

24th January 11

It's a little depressing, but at least I got some done... when Greek Mandala gets boring I'm sure I'll get more done though :)

I'm amazed at how quick so many stitchers here are, well done all of you!

Rachael's January progress

I have re-started Bramble and the Rose, and I feel much better about stitching this on lighter fabric and over two rather than on Black and over one!

Tanglewood progress

Hello everyone,
Here's my progress on Tanglewood for January. The branches are getting smaller! :-) ..

Another Bramble and Rose... January update

I started this last year after waiting months for my floss to arrive. I am using Valdani floss/Maroon Moss on 32ct Belfast Linen/Lavendar Mist.
early January

and my progress as of today....

Wasted a stitching session this week with frogging - so sad : (

but even so I am loving stitching this design and I can see by this blog that I am not alone :)

Tanglewood - January update

I finished outlining the branches in the second color.  I still need to order the color I ran out of but am trying to combine the order with something else.  In the mean time I think I'll move on to the sky and then the thistles.  This should be a quick finish, so I just have to figure out what to do next.  Maybe the Hawaii Sampler as my parents moved there a few years ago.  Has anyone stitched that design?  If so, what do you think.

Bramble and the Rose - January update

Although I have been stitching on my B & R I haven't posted in a while so here is where I'm at today.

(My picture has uploaded upside down for some reason )

Only two more pages to go !!

New Member - Namaste

I have been following this blog for almost a year, and am so excited to finally be a part of it. Namaste is my first Ink Circles design, but I have been stitching for almost 30 years. I am stitching Namaste on 32 ct white linen banding with the recommended DMC colors, and plan to give it to my massage therapist who is also a Reiki Master. I only hope I can find "finishes" for it as lovely as Tracy's!

A Pair of Cats

I received Masquerade in the mail today! A big thanks to Rachel for hosting the SAL (and doing it again this year!) and to Tracy for the chart.

And since it's such a cute chart, I started it about ten minutes after I opened it!

It's on 32ct pewter lugana, with the DMC conversion.

New Member and Mother Maya

From Fran,
I am new to this group but I love stitching Ink Circles designs.  I have started the bramble and the rose but it got put aside when other things took over at Christmas.  I am going to move it back into my rotation.  I have done Peregrinations and there is a photo on the Ink Circles site under Galleries, Other.  I am currently working on Mother Maya.  I do not always go with the same colors as the charts, so mine will look different.  Here is a photo of my progress on Mother Maya.

the bramble and the rose

I'm glad to be back here ! Thanks for letting me again be a part of this blog.

Here is my update from the bramble and the rose and I'm half way (is this correct?)

a happy new year to all of you, a good health and a lot of time to stitch!

Happy New Year from a new IC Stitcher

Hi there, thanks for the invite Rachael.
I have been watching the progress of everyones lovely IC stitches on this blog since about this time last year. I have loved Tracey’s designs since I first caught a glimpse of the BOINK mystery SAL a few years ago and now have about 6 IC designs kitted up.
I haven’t blogged before, but I hope I can manage a ‘snap’ of my stitching and an upload here - hopefully once a month :)

Newbie and December photo

Hi everyone, Rachel kindly sent me an invitation to join this blog and here I am :) I have a google blog account, but I actually blog here. I started The Bramble and the Rose when it was published in TGOSM, and bought the kit so am stitching the model colours, but obligation stitching has stopped me from getting much progress done on it until recently. I picked it up a few weeks before Christmas and have been loving stitching on it :)

Here's my progress as of late December (on vintage lentil with mostly-deadly nightshade):

28th December 2010

I follow whatever tendril I'm working on at a given time all the way around until the end, and go back to finish off extra branches etc, which is fun but does mean moving my frame quite a bit.

I've got a lot more done already so hopefully there will be lots of progress in my January pic :)

2011: New Year and New Post!

Hello Everyone!
I'm thrilled to join the SAL. I have departed from traditional samplers and now IC designs are my new favorites. I'm currently stitching Growth Rings w/ the recommended silks on 25ct cream Dublin linen. I started this in mid-December and this is my progress as of Jan 1st. This is my first stitching over 1. It was initially a challenge to train my eyes but now I'm cruising right along! I look forward to sharing throughout the year! -Carla

Okay Here goes!!

Today I put all the names in a box shook it and got each of my children to pick one, then got my Hubby to pick one out of the three.
So the person getting the gift certificate and a IC chart is Blu Woo hoo well done!!!
And runners up are Lindsey and Hazel. Who will be getting an IC chart.
Well done ladies!!! (please email me your addresses - )

Happy New year to all, I just wish I could of given you all something.
